FMP research: fashion illustrator research

Here i have selected some illustrators that have influenced my work and i have/will scanned in images of my work next to them to show the link.

Maly Siri is the illustrator that designed illustrations for Vivienne Westwood's naughty Alice 2010.

I picked this as its relevant to my project, I like this illustration because its very clear and feminine, the illustration does what it says on the bottle, Alice here is been portrayed as a sex symbol, i think this because of the way she has been drawn her dress is short and low cut, she has full flowing hair and red lips, to me this is an image of what men would want a girl to look like and this images its perfect for the illustration as they are advertising a perfume, this illustration of Alice will draw women to buy it as a way of saying if you buy this men will see you differently this is a way of advertising like celebrity endorsement. i also like how the floral swirls behind create a feminine feels this also links into the wonderland theme. i really like how the use of shading has been used on the dress it make it look like it has more volume i will defiantly try to practice this in my work as its important to get a more 3D effect.
